Rayner's global headquarters, the Ridley Innovation Centre in Worthing, West Sussex, is a state-of-the-art research, development and manufacturing facility that serves as the company's worldwide hub for ophthalmic innovation and is the UK's only manufacturing site for intraocular lenses.

From this purpose-built headquarters, Rayner develops and produces cataract surgery solutions that are distributed to healthcare providers in more than 80 countries.

Our teams based at Global HQ work across Production, R&D, Customer Service, Supply Chain, IT, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Sales, Finance, HR, Facilities, and Warehouse.

This AG is located in the border triangle of Switzerland, Austria and Germany, in the Rhine Valley of St. Gallen. The company was acquired by Rayner in January 2024, and is our manufacturing site and headquarters for the production of our phacoemulsification machine, Sophi.

Sophi redefines the requirements of a perfect Phaco-System by focusing on the points of view of the surgeon, the surgical team and all other involved parties. The result is a high-end device which set new standards.

Our teams work across R&D, Production, Marketing & Sales, Operations and Finance.

Our new United States HQ opened in 2026, at a 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Memphis, Tennessee, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the US as a central pillar of its global growth strategy.

Memphis has served as Rayner’s US base for six years and remains a strategically positioned national logistics hub. The new site, which has recently received its license from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, significantly enhances Rayner’s commercial, distribution and service infrastructure nationwide.

Over 4,000 sq. ft. of the facility is dedicated warehouse space, strengthening logistics capabilities and supporting the company’s continued growth across its expanding cataract portfolio.

Rayner Biomaterials is located in Sousel, Portugal, and is the manufacturing site for our Biomaterials products.

Our Biomaterials site contains a cleanroom, the space where the main part of the production process will take place in accordance with ISO 14644.

At Biomaterials, our teams work across Production, Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, Finance, and IT.
