The Advanced Technology IOL Specialist will be primarily responsible for promoting and selling advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs), driving adoption through strong clinical knowledge and customer engagement. Build relationships with ophthalmologists, provides technical support, and communicates product value to improve surgical outcomes and business growth. 

 

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Primary objective is to drive and achieve the sales target for the premium IOL portfolio in-China.
  • Lead the Premium sector, through extensive knowledge of Rayner and competitor Premium IOL technology 
  • Support and drive clinical expertise across the private sector groups in line with the global Strategy
  • Keep updated with market developments, providing regular training to the local sales team
  • Extensive travel across China with particular focus on concentrated areas of private IOL surgeries
  • Develop a network of KOLs across the region maintaining a strong program of scientific promotions
  • Work closely with Marketing and Eye Sciences to increase podium presence, deliver high quality medical education, webinars, case studies and articles
  • Work closely with the Commercial Heads, Business Directors, Marketing Heads, Distributors across the China.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement clinical evaluations to ensure clinical acceptance of Rayner product range and technology.
  • IOL selection for patients using advanced technology IOLs.
  • Working with key surgeons and KOLs who are using Rayner’s advanced portfolio of IOLs.

 

What Experience & Skills You Will Need:

 

Essential

  • Educated to Degree level
  • Good Presentation skills and communication skills
  • Transferable premium IOL market share
  • Experience selling into private and public healthcare environments
  • Experience within local Chinese ophthalmology industry
  • Extensive KOL/ophthalmic surgeon network in local market
  • Strong understanding of cataract surgery
  • Proficiency In English Language is a requirement – reading and written skills

Desirable

  • Strong clinical background in surgical ophthalmology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, locally and in the region
  • Experience of first line technical service
