The HR Advisor, Europe is a business partner to people managers, providing them with day-to-day support to ensure they have the tools and resources to manage, develop, motivate and retain their team members.

 

Please note that this is a hybrid position, with 3 days on-site at our regional office in Porto and 2 days work from home (WFH).

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Deliver an effective onboarding experience and support the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and GDPR requirements.
  • Review, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support organisational objectives across Europe.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accurate processing and providing guidance to employees on company benefits.
  • Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including coordinating occupational health referrals and return-to-work support.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for HR systems (HRIS, LMS and Engagement Hub), ensuring data integrity and supporting continuous system improvement.
  • Plan and deliver employee engagement activities, including annual events, learning initiatives, and programmes that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

 

What Experience & Skills You Will Need:

 

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • A collaborative style with the ability to influence others into action and to think creatively about solutions
  • Ability to communicate confidently, succinctly, and logically both verbal and in writing
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to propose solutions for the future
  • Fluent English language and writing skills
  • Experience working across numerous countries in Europe

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a Manufacturing Industry or similar fast paced environment
  • Fluent in additional languages (French or German)
