The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with a network of hospitals, healthcare institutions, and corporate hospital chains across China. This role involves strategic account management, business development, and cross-functional coordination to drive sales, enhance partnerships, and ensure seamless customer service for ophthalmic products, equipment, and services.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for achieving sales target of assigned key accounts.
  • Building relationship with internal & external customers (Doctors/ KOL’s/Distributors/peers/superiors/hospital procurement departments), developing new customers, monitoring competitor activities, keeping track of the daily working, keeping track of customer usage pattern and maintaining records in assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring satisfaction, addressing concerns, and optimizing service levels.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Responsible to track IOL/Phaco market-share in the assigned territory and keep track of competition actions – to proactively ensure market leadership in the state/ territory assigned. also, will be closely supporting manager to develop and strengthen relationship with some of the Key Opinion Leaders of his assigned territory.
  • Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental Objectives.
  • Ensuring 100% sales achievement on a monthly and quarterly basis by optimizing the right product mix to meet annual sales target.
  • Upgrading existing customers of IOL to Premium IOLs. Should attend OTs regularly to understand customer needs, ensuring customer’s delight.
  • Maintaining field reporting discipline and timely submission of reports.
  • Developing Sound Product Knowledge; In assigned accounts conducting scientific programs regularly - CME/round table meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to provide insights for business strategy refinement.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Customer Support to ensure seamless execution of contracts and orders
  • Provide product training and technical support to hospital staff, procurement teams, and key stakeholders.

 

What Experience & Skills You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of +10 years of experience selling medical devices; previous experience of working with medical device distributors。
  • Good understanding of the policies, bidding rules and procedure of China national tender for medical devices.
  • Presentation & Strong Communication Skill; maintenance of long-term client relationship.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
