About Kuntal
Kuntal has over 25 years of experience in the area of medical devices, diagnostic equipment and medical disposable products. Mr. Joshi has spent the 18+ years in Asia Pacific, living in Australia and Singapore and managing commercial businesses in the Asia Pacific Region. He started his career in healthcare at Ethicon Inc., part of Johnson & Johnson in early 1994. He later moved to a smaller ophthalmic device company called KeraVision where he served in a leadership position in the commercialization of their technology in the US and global basis. After leaving KeraVision, Mr. Joshi spent over 7 years with NIDEK, a Japanese medical device and diagnostic equipment company, managing their global marketing and business development organizations.
In 2011, Mr. Joshi started a boutique medical device consulting firm called Skopus Medical from Singapore; servicing clients from Asia Pacific looking to expand their commercial business to international markets and servicing smaller size companies looking to expand into Asia Pacific and global emerging markets. He provided strategic business planning, commercialization and distribution networks in Asia Pacific and the emerging markets of the world.
