As an Assistant Team Leader you will be accountable for your team’s performance, working alongside the area lead you will give advice and monitor teams performances, as well as standing in when required to set up and run the rooms.
This role is very much hands on, pitching in and working with the teams to produce room demands as well as ensuring all functions are covered.
There may be times when required and if suitably trained you are called upon to help other departments and lead by example when it comes to attitude and morale.
Day Shift: 12-hour day shift position - 4 days on 4 days off.
Main Duties
- Oversee room performance, working on and off the machines and processes when required.
- Be fully involved in daily workflows and instructions to all staff to keep in line with production demands.
- Initiate and track team performance discussions.
- Assist with Process Improvement activities and new ways of working.
- Lead staff training and certification when required.
- When required step into an overseeing role aiding the room performance and output.
- Be an active go to technician who is open to support new starters and maintain a high level of ability within the area, a strong people person is required.
- Look at forward demands and plan with the area lead the need for any overtime or staffing increases / training requirements.
- To carry out any duties as requested to aid the production process and deemed required by the area lead or the production managers.
- Assist the Team Leader with coaching your team to ensure strong performance that drives results, including the management of poor performance/behaviour in line with HR support
- Assist the Team Leader with their responsibility for the motivation and engagement of your team members ensuring they receive recognition that makes them feel valued and feedback that helps them improve
What Experience Do You Need
- Previous supervisor experience
- Accountable people manager
- Strong team player
- Good manual dexterity
- Literate and numerate
- PC skills
- Attention to detail and Accuracy
- Self-motivated
