Purpose of the Role / Key activities and accountabilities
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and distribute engaging content across social media, sales tools, digital assets, congress materials and PR activity to support product positioning and lead generation.
- Translate complex clinical/product information into clear, compelling content for HCPs.
- Lead content projects end-to-end, managing timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, and medical/legal/regulatory approval processes.
- Ensure brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity.
- Manage an editorial calendar for launches, campaigns, and events.
- Draft and adapt social media content, ensuring alignment with brand voice and regional campaign priorities.
- Support the development of trade articles, press releases, and congress communications in collaboration with global or external communications partners.
- Review and report on key metrics, using data to refine future content and improve results.
- Support internal communications and training related to content rollout.
- Serve as a key communications resource for the US team.
- Collaborate with sales, training, and leadership teams on commercial initiatives.
- Travel up to 10–15% to support congresses

- Skilled at developing compelling, compliant materials that support field efforts and drive HCP engagement.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to track performance, optimize initiatives, and identify market opportunities.
- Experienced in managing complex projects and external vendors while balancing multiple deadlines.
- Collaborative and adaptable, with a strong ability to align with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in navigating MLR systems and driving timely content approvals.
- Maintains consistent brand messaging across channels, with exceptional attention to tone, accuracy, and visual clarity.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a talent for simplifying complex clinical messages for professional audiences.
- Supports strategic marketing goals through organized, detail-oriented, and efficient content execution
Qualifications/ Training/Experience
Essential
- 4+ years of experience in content development, communications, or tactical marketing, preferably in ophthalmology, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate clinical concepts into clear, engaging HCP-facing materials.
- Experience managing multi-channel content across digital, print, email, and congress environments.
- Proficiency in navigating MLR and ensuring compliant content delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and medical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Desirable
- Experience working in ophthalmology or other specialty pharma/device sectors with complex clinical messaging,
- Experience adapting global assets for regional use, ensuring compliance and relevance.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and tone-of-voice standards for regulated industries.
- Exposure to CRM or marketing automation platform.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment.
