What you'll be doing
The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the core IT infrastructure across Rayner globally.
Working closely with the IT Team and a range of third-party providers, the position plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to our internal users, supporting, and administering technology platforms and helping to continuously improve our IT capabilities and processes.
* Guiding the further development of core infrastructure (cloud, servers, networks, security controls) across Rayner
* Provide input to project teams on infrastructure considerations arising from new projects. Act as the technical lead for new projects when required.
* Provide on-going post-implementation support for newly delivered technologies; driving testing, planning, execution, and optimisation support
* Cyber security and information assurance: support and assist with queries and investigations and inform on hardened configuration of IT infrastructure.
* Collaborating with end-users to understand business needs to identify best solutions.
* Log Incidents for faults captured, liaising with third party providers as required.
* Managing and maintaining Infrastructure security updates and patching.
* Ensure system configuration, performance, and availability.
* Performing day-to-day operations, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting activities through prioritisation of requests
* Performing knowledge transfer to the internal IT support team to enable them to provide first line support of Infrastructure service requests.
* Contribute to the continuous development of the IT function at Rayner.
What Experience Do You Need
* Experience in a technical infrastructure maintenance and delivery role.
* Rigorous approach to project delivery including change management, risk management and reporting on project progress.
What Technical Experience Do You Need:
* Windows server stack – AD / Group Policy / DNS DHCP
* Enterprise firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi
* Virtualisation technologies
* MS Cloud Infrastructure- InTune / Autopilot / Azure / Entra / 365 Exchange
* MS Defender / Sentinel security controls and configuration
* WSUS patch management
* Virtualisation technologies
* Backup technologies
* A minimum of five years in a technical IT role
* Highly proficient in network and infrastructure technologies
* Sound understanding of the function of an IT Department and IT frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
