The purpose of this role is to lead and be accountable for the growth, development and promotion of Rayner’s portfolio in the UK and Ireland (UKI), maximising the impact of all UKI marketing activities and ensuring alignment with the global and regional marketing plans.

In this role, you will build effective relationships with KOLs and other external stakeholders to harness their cooperation and engagement in developing innovative products and participate in and actively engage in organising specialist marketing programs at major industry conferences in the region, such as RCO and UKISCRS.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Development and delivery of the UKI marketing plan for the full Rayner product and service portfolio.
  • Planning and execution of all regional congresses and customer events; including the 75th anniversary of the first IOL implantation event, in collaboration with the Ridley Foundation and UKISCRS (November 2024).
  • Support Key Opinion Leader (KOL) initiatives through PR and Practice Management.
  • Work with the relevant teams to deliver educational presentations on the Rayner portfolio in collaboration with KOLs, including large CPD events and smaller educational dinners.
  • Lead the advancement of e-commerce for our dry eye products (e.g. Amazon).
  • Develop and manage the UKI marketing budget in line with approved plans.
  • Management of the UK fulfilment website (event equipment and branded items).
  • Support the coordination of UKI pre-market/clinical studies for new products.
  • Drive Share of Voice for Rayner across all channels.
  • Champion the corporate and product brand identities.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Degree in Business / Marketing / Science / Optometry / Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience launching new products and managing product life cycles.
  • Event management.
  • Campaign management.
  • Strong scientific background, able to comprehend and interpret scientific/clinical data.

Desirable

  • Formal business or marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM).
  • Experience working in optometry/ophthalmology.
  • Language: English
  • Understanding of medical device regulations.
