The Procurement Specialist will manage varied categories of spend on goods and services to support the organizational strategic objectives and to report into the Head of Procurement.

 

The key activities are to achieve and exceed agreed procurement & organizational objectives.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the Head of Procurement on all sourcing and contracting activities and strategy execution. This will include some admin duties.
  • Participate in strategic and long-term forecast activity identifying and developing innovative sources and contracts.
  • Identify new suppliers as required and assist in timely and efficient onboarding of approved new vendors.
  • Report on category trend performance.
  • Support sales to develop financially sound bids and proposals.
  • Managing the vendor onboarding process and some of the vendor management requirements.
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with vendors, ensuring effective procurement and query resolution, timely 2-way communications, feedback on performance, highlighting risk/opportunity mitigation/creation – in line with company policies.
  • Work with the Legal team to co-ordinate and compile/manage a vendor management contract tracker.
  • Support strategic global projects with procurement skills as required.
  • The Procurement Specialist will have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders both internal and external at all levels.

 

What Experience Do You Need

  • 2+ years procurement experience
  • CIPS level 3 or above (MCIPS Status) or Equivalent 
  • Strong written and numeracy skills
  • Operational experience of Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Experience with negotiating contracts 
  • Multilingual (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Medical/Pharmaceutical practices
