We are hiring for a Purchasing Assistant at This AG, a Rayner Group Company! You will provide operational and administrative support to the Technical Purchasing team at This AG.
The Purchasing Assistant ensures smooth day-to-day purchasing activities, accurate data management, supplier communication on routine matters, and compliance with medical device regulations. The role focuses on transactional purchasing and administrative support.
Please note that this role is 100% workload (Monday-Friday) and is based on-site at our HQ in Heerbrugg, Switzerland.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Raise and place purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Lead routine and non-technical purchasing, including office supplies, facilities requirements, and other indirect spend.
- Provide administrative support for technical purchasing activities under the guidance of the Technical Purchasing Specialist, e.g. processing orders, data entry, and documentation.
- Request and compare supplier quotations for routine or indirect purchasing, and support technical quotation processes when directed.
- Check order confirmations, monitor delivery deadlines, and escalate issues where necessary.
- Maintain accurate supplier master data in the ERP system, including setup of new suppliers once approved.
- Support complaints and CAPA administration by managing documentation and filing, ensuring alignment with Quality/Regulatory requirements.
- Perform administrative procurement tasks, including filing, reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Monitor stock levels and provide support to warehouse coordination, logistics, and Kanban processes, escalating to the Technical Purchasing Specialist where needed.
- Assist in documentation and record-keeping to meet MDR and ISO requirements.
- Provide day-to-day support to the Technical Purchasing Lead and Technical Purchasing Specialist as required.
What Experience & Skills You Will Need:
Essential
- 1+ years purchasing experience
- German fluent
- Strong written and numeracy skills
- Operational experience of Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Medical/Pharmaceutical products
- Written and spoken English
