The Risk and Compliance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the Rayner Group complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This individual will work closely with the General Counsel, legal and other departments to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, develop and implement compliance programs, and promote a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective and efficient compliance programs and policies, especially on ESG and sustainability initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain compliance monitoring processes to detect and prevent violations.
  • Analyse and evaluate existing and emerging risks, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare regular compliance reports and metrics for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines affecting the life sciences industry.
  • Oversight of transparency reporting in the healthcare sector including Sunshine Act reporting requirements.
  • Conduct internal investigations in response to compliance concerns or allegations.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified issues.
  • Evaluate the compliance of third-party vendors and partners and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to compliance and risk management activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance and risk management.
  • Foster a culture of awareness and accountability regarding compliance and risk within the organisation.
  • Work with material that is generally of a critical or confidential nature.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of compliance and risk-management experience in an international pharmaceuticals or med-tech setting*.
  • Strong computer skills required in applications used in general office settings including word processing, spreadsheet, data base management, presentation software and Internet search engines.
  • In-depth knowledge of ABHI, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA, ISO standards and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; ability to spot issues and exercise commercial acumen.
  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively in a fast-moving, deadline driven environment.
  • Must be capable of working with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment; awareness of when appropriate to escalate issues to General Counsel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent grammatical and proofreading skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business.
  • Discretion, tact and diplomacy.

*It is envisaged that candidates with the indicated level of prior experience will have the relevant skills and knowledge for this position, however this is a guide only and applicants who fall outside this range but have the required experience will be considered.
