What You'll Be Doing

This individual will work closely with the General Counsel, legal and other departments to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, develop and implement compliance programs, and promote a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organisation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective and efficient compliance programs and policies, especially on ESG and sustainability initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain compliance monitoring processes to detect and prevent violations.

  • Analyse and evaluate existing and emerging risks, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Prepare regular compliance reports and metrics for senior management and regulatory authorities.

  • Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines affecting the life sciences industry.

  • Oversight of transparency reporting in the healthcare sector including Sunshine Act reporting requirements.

  • Conduct internal investigations in response to compliance concerns or allegations.

  • Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified issues.

  • Evaluate the compliance of third-party vendors and partners and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to compliance and risk management activities.

  • Provide timely and accurate information to regulatory authorities as required.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance and risk management.

  • Foster a culture of awareness and accountability regarding compliance and risk within the organisation.

  • Work with material that is generally of a critical or confidential nature.

 

What Experience Do You Need

  • 3-5 years of compliance and risk-management experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong computer skills required in applications used in general office settings including word processing, spreadsheet, data base management, presentation software and Internet search engines.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; ability to spot issues and exercise commercial acumen.

  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively in a fast-moving, deadline driven environment.

  • Must be capable of working with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment; awareness of when appropriate to escalate issues to General Counsel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent grammatical and proofreading skills.

  • The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business.

  • Discretion, tact and diplomacy.

  • 3-5 years of compliance and risk-management experience in an international pharmaceuticals or med-tech setting. (Desirable)

  • Management of Environmental, Social and Governance programs / initiatives. (Desirable)

  • In-depth knowledge of ABHI, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA, ISO standards and other relevant regulatory frameworks. (Desirable)
