The purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of products on time and in full while maintaining inventory targets across all Rayner portfolios (Pharmaceuticals, IOLs and Factored goods)
You will be responsible to keep track of inventory, anticipate demand and suggest purchases to ensure supply continuity for raw materials and finished goods while liaising with Operations, Quality, Customer service, Regulatory, Sales teams, Finance, Suppliers, Logistics and third-party wholesalers. The individual will contribute to the preparation of CMC-related regulatory reports and submissions, as needed.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Review planning 0-12 months horizon to ensure optimal product supply for Rayner portfolios, balancing inventory levels with customer demand.
- Act as a key liaison between various internal stakeholders (Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance, Sales, others) on developing a forecast and plan production accordingly with suppliers and CMO’s
- Prepare and drive the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP), ensuring cross-functional alignment and effective decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Proactively identify future supply constraints and develop options to mitigate
- Identify and qualify suppliers of raw materials and components
- Purchase raw materials and components and select transportation routes
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements and conduct regular business reviews with strategic supply partners
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate inventory control, assisting with investigations into stock discrepancies and maintain integrity of serialized and lot-controlled product data.
- Oversee US consignment stock of IOLs at ophthalmic surgery centers and hospitals. Monitor inventory levels, expiration dates to ensure product availability and compliance. Recommend adjustments to customer inventory levels to optimize their performance and IOL usage.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support an efficient supply chain and demand process
- Actively manage together with other involved functions phase-in and phase-out of products
- Successfully lead department projects and be an active participant in company wide projects that impact Supply Chain
- Provide management information to a number of forums and the senior leadership team
- Support team when required

Qualifications/ Training/Experience
Essential
* Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or Science/Engineering related field
* Previous experience (minimum 7 years) in sales and operations planning roles, integrated business planning process
* Previous experience in Biotech and/or Pharmaceutical supply chain, interacting with QP’s for global drug product release
* Previous experience of global sourcing, contract manufacturing, GMP/GDP requirements
* Successfully led projects and initiatives working within both commercial and supply chain
* Successful track record on continuous improvement initiatives
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (pivot table, advanced formulas) and intermediate level of MS office
Desirable
* Experience working in a cross functional environment, including batch record reviews of drug product and secondary packaging operations
* Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)
* Knowledge of analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau)
* Understanding and experience of auditing
