An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a high-performing warehouse operation that delivers consistent, efficient, and accurate fulfilment across inbound, outbound, and inventory control activities.

 

This role supports a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

 

This is a full-time permanent role based at our Crawley site, to be worked Monday to Friday between 8am – 5pm.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for operational productivity, resource planning, and aligning warehouse execution with wider business priorities, including customer service and supply chain objectives.
  • Ensure goods inwards from Rayner and external suppliers are processed and stored appropriately and efficiently, always following internal procedures.
  • To ensure that the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures are adhered to, including up to date employee training records and certifications are maintained to provide a safe and proficient work environment.
  • Managing the team through a structured team hierarchy while remaining directly engaged in coaching, aligning across functions, and supporting all levels of the warehouse team.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory efficiency for serialised and lot-controlled products including stock check procedures.
  • Ensuring team direction, performance, and safety practices are clear and consistently maintained through structured leadership, proactive communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes / methods of operating practices on the site where identified.

What Experience & Skills Do You Need:

  • Proven experience leading a dynamic team in a fast-paced, target-driven warehouse or fulfilment environment.
  • Experience leading a multi-tiered warehouse team with the ability to drive performance, set direction, and engage effectively across all levels of the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team performance, manage priorities, and meet operational KPIs under pressure.
  • Strong communicator with experience translating business objectives into clear team actions and follow-through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and shared platforms (e.g. Teams).
  • Experience working in a structured warehouse or process-driven operational environment.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience producing operational or performance reports to drive team improvement and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience in inventory-controlled operations, particularly those involving product traceability at lot or serial level.
  • Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of health and safety requirements in a logistics or warehousing environment, with a proactive approach to compliance.
