What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and drive sales for premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) including Trifocal, EMV, and Toric IOLs within India, achieving sales targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet annual sales goals within the assigned territory.
- Provide leadership and support to the Indian sales team, sharing in-depth knowledge of Rayner and competitor technologies.
- Conduct regular training, provide guidance, and share market updates to help the sales team execute successfully.
- Deliver clinical expertise and training to private sector groups, aligning with the Indian strategy.
- Plan and coordinate clinical evaluations to ensure clinical acceptance of Rayner’s product range.
- Work directly with end-users to drive the adoption of Rayner products during evaluations and demonstrations.
- Stay informed about the ophthalmology IOL market, including competitor products and market trends.
- Proactively identify and respond to competitive threats or challenges in the market.
- Develop and maintain a network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the region, leading scientific promotions to increase product adoption.
- Promote the clinical and financial benefits of Rayner’s premium IOL range to sales teams and healthcare professionals.
- Apply strategic thinking to address market challenges and generate new business opportunities.
- Travel regularly across the assigned territory, focusing on private ophthalmology surgery areas.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to drive sales performance and market penetration.
- Break down business barriers and offer constructive solutions to enhance business performance.
- Contribute to business planning efforts and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales progress.
- Keep the team updated on developments in the ophthalmology IOL market and lead efforts to incorporate the latest IOL technology.
What Experience & Skills Do You Need
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Optometry, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or clinical support in the ophthalmology/medical device industry.
- Demonstrate success in sales target achievement and leadership, with a strong understanding of premium IOL products.
- Experience in working with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and conducting clinical evaluations is essential.
- Have a deep understanding of refractive optics and premium IOL technology, as well as knowledge of the competitor landscape.
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
- Be self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to frequent travel.
- Fluency in English and regional languages is a plus.
