We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our rapidly growing and innovative company as the Associate Vice President, Sales, Device & Equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, sales, and operational excellence leading Rayner’s IOL and capital equipment teams in the US and Canada markets.
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Americas, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the company's strategic initiatives, revenue, and profitability, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
What You'll Be Doing:
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the VP, Americas and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic sales plans for the US and Canada markets, aligning with the overall corporate vision and objectives.
- Drive business growth through executing a series of product launches including next generation premium IOLs and capital equipment.
- Provide leadership and direction to regional sales directors, and the entire IOL and capital equipment team, to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and profitability.
Business Development and Sales Execution
- Partnering with the VP, Americas, set and achieve annual sales targets through driving the sales team to execute sales strategies with close pricing and compliance management.
- Understanding of competitive landscape to identify market trends and customer needs to drive adoption of the Rayner portfolio across the US and Canada markets.
- Leverage US sales team synergies to cross-sell IOLs, capital equipment and associated medical devices into ASCs and hospitals.
- Deliver growth of pull through business at lens replacement accounts across the US and Canada.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, distributors, agencies, and industry associations.
Operational Excellence
- Build strong partnerships with the US and global business support teams including but not limited to Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance, to ensure operational efficiencies are achieved.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement Initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain KPIs to monitor operational performance and drive accountability across the US and Canada.
Compliance
- Support ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards and industry practices are met across the US and Canada.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs and quality assurance teams to navigate regulatory challenges, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain product compliance.
Talent Development and Team Building
- Recruit, develop and maintain top talent within the US and Canada, fostering a culture of ambition, excellence, and accountability.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to empower team members, driving individual and collective success.
- Drive a culture of high performance and engagement across your assigned markets.
What Experience & Skills You Will Need:
- BS or BA degree in business, marketing, finance or related field required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of ophthalmology sales leadership experience including experience at the national level
- Experience launching premium IOLs and/or phaco machines in the US market
- Strong existing network of national ASC’s and hospitals in ophthalmic surgery
- Proven track record of building and developing a high-performing sales organization
- Experience developing and implementing novel sales force approaches in the US marketplace, including pull through programs, innovative tactics and alternative sales models
- Ability to travel up to >50% nationwide

Salary: $200,000-$250,000
