We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales personnel to join our dynamic and growing sales team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and growing existing Rayner business in the assigned territory. As a key representative, you will play a critical role in driving growth, supporting partners, and ensuring our innovative surgical solutions reach their full market potential. You shall be solely responsible for the territory’s financial performance. This is a field-based role predominantly focused on driving activity with Surgeons/Consultants, Procurement, Business Managers, Pharmacists, Theatre staff and other key hospital personnel across all levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Sales of Rayner and Rayner associate products to the ophthalmologist in Private Practice, Teaching Institute, Charitable Hospital and Govt Hospitals.
- Accountable for achieving agreed sales and performance targets within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Implement related activities like customer events, sales and marketing campaigns, sales presentations necessary to achieve agreed objectives. Maintain and enhance knowledge of products, product strategy, positioning, key messages, programs, company developments, customers, and competitors.
- Achieve agreed coverage and frequency targets through various communication channels.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and best-in-class customer relationship.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all reports.
- Contribute positively to the Sales and Marketing team through co-operative relationships and collaborative efforts to achieve team and company objectives.
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to effectively penetrate the ophthalmologist market.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop a pipeline of potential clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the sales manager.
What Experience & Skills You Will Need:
Essential:
Expertise in the following areas: Surgical, glaucoma and cataract surgery preferred.
Ability to thrive in a surgical environment.
Professional manner, proficiency, attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to travel
Valid driver’s license and passport.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
B.A. or B.S. is required.
Ophthalmic current clinical experience preferred.
(3) years medical device experience, preferably in ophthalmic sales.
Experience and exposure to sales negotiation and business development practices including territory planning, customer management and lead generation and conversion.
A previous track record of exceptional performance within the medical device or pharmaceutical sales industry (preferred but not required).
Capable of regularly interacting with surgeon and clinical investigators/customers and easily establishing meaningful business/client relationships.
