We are recruiting for a Finance Clerk to support the day-to-day financial operations across Rayner’s European entities, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook management, and ad hoc finance tasks. The role also provides support to the FP&A team and HQ Finance on special projects and reporting initiatives.

 

Reporting into the Head of Finance Europe, this is an excellent opportunity to enter our European Finance structure here at Rayner and take on a wide range of entities.

 

Please note this is based 100% on-site at our office in Warsaw.

 
 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Process and reconcile accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile cashbooks for multiple European entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Support the FP&A team and HQ Finance with ad hoc projects, including data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.
  • Respond to internal and external queries related to finance operations.
  • Assist with compliance and audit requirements by preparing documentation and reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes and systems.

 

Competencies:

  • Numerical and Analytical Skills – Ability to work with numbers accurately, analyse financial data, and identify discrepancies.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in financial records, invoices, and reconciliations to prevent costly errors.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software and Tools – Proficiency in systems like QuickBooks, SAP, or Excel for managing financial transactions.
  • Organizational Skills – Managing multiple tasks such as processing invoices, preparing reports, and maintaining records efficiently.
  • Communication Skills – Clearly conveying financial information to colleagues, clients, or vendors and responding to queries effectively.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity – Handling sensitive financial information responsibly and maintaining trustworthiness.

 

What Experience & Skills You Will Need:

  • AAT qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
  • Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a multi-entity or international environment.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Exchequer, or similar).
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
