In this role, you will be a business partner to people managers, providing them with day-to-day support to ensure they have the tools and resources to manage, develop, motivate and retain their team members.
You will support the employee experience and be accountable for implementing a calendar of fun activities that gets our teams together, to engage, communicate and have fun!
What You'll be Doing
- Provide advice and support to managers on employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievance, and performance management in line with company policies and UK employment law.
- Conduct investigations and hearings as required.
- Support conflict resolution, including mediation and negotiation, to maintain a positive working environment.
- Deliver engaging onboarding programs to ensure new starters integrate effectively into the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs for employees.
- Support succession planning and career development initiatives within the manufacturing workforce.
- Collaborate with management on workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in place to meet operational needs.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports, such as absenteeism, retention, and employee engagement data.
- Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee pay and benefits.
- Advise employees on company benefits and assist with enrollment processes.
- Promote and support employee health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Coordinate occupational health referrals and support employees returning to work.
- Drive employee engagement programs and initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
- Manage the HR systems (HRIS, LMS, Engagement Hub), developing your knowledge as a subject matter expert in the system
- Create and deliver a calendar of annual fun events that engages, motivates and brings our teams together
- Design and deliver quarterly Love 2 Learn events
What Experience Do You Need
- CIPD Level 5 or relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Experience of working In a Manufacturing Industry or similar fast paced environment
- A collaborative style with the ability to influence others into action and to think creatively about solutions.
- Ability to communicate confidently, succinctly, and logically both verbal and in writing.
- Tenacity & curiosity
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to propose solutions for the future.
