Rayner is a leading developer and manufacturer of ophthalmic surgical devices and pharmaceuticals with a reputation for innovation and product excellence. Founded in 1910, we specialise in the design and manufacture of intraocular lenses (IOLs) and related products, such as OVDs and pharmaceuticals, that are used in cataract and refractive surgery. Since the manufacture of the world’s very first IOL by Rayner in 1949, we have continuously pioneered IOL design with a goal of improving vision and restoring sight worldwide. The first ever FDA- approved IOL was a Rayner lens. Today, over 28 million IOLs are implanted every year and it is the most performed elective surgical procedure in the world. Our mission is simple: to deliver excellent visual outcomes for patients and surgeons.

In June 2021, Rayner was acquired by CVC, an international Private Equity business with substantial funds under management. CVC has already shown itself to be an excellent partner to Rayner and has demonstrated its commitment to grow the business internationally. With CVC as our partner, we have the resources to make further investments in ophthalmology.

With our global headquarters in Worthing on the south coast of the UK, we currently have over 500 employees in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Italy, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Australia and India.

As a member of Rayner’s global product management team, you will be responsible for supporting our surgical portfolios as well as other ancillary solutions as/when introduced. In addition to product management responsibilities, you will play an important role supporting our network of Latin American distributor partners and have hands-on involvement in other marketing-led projects, including the planning and execution of corporate communications, global brand exercises and industry congresses.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will work closely with Rayner’s regional sales and marketing teams, as well as its international business managers who manage our distributor partners. You will be involved with significant internal and external communication, interacting with all departments across multiple Rayner offices, in addition to healthcare professionals around the world.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Product lifecycle management for Rayner’s surgical portfolios (other product portfolios may be introduced at a later date), including the development and execution of commercial action plans to address market needs and commercial opportunities.

Fulfil the support requests of our direct sales and distributor partners.

Assist in the development of regional (Latin America), local (Brazil) and distributor marketing strategies for the approved Rayner portfolio in the region.

Assist in planning and executing home market congresses; additionally, provide strategic direction and support to in-region congresses.

Use sources of market intelligence to monitor and action relevant market needs.
