The Director, Sophi is responsible for hiring, leading, and managing a specialized sales team focused on

driving sales of phacoemulsification equipment and services. This role involves overseeing the Sophi sales team, operations, ensuring high standards of client care, facilitating continuous education, and driving the team towards excellence in sales performance.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Hire, lead and manage the Sophi phaco sales team
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimal team performance and service offering
  • Advise on launch strategy and portfolio requirements
  • Develop KOL relationships in partnership with marketing and clinical
  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure optimal client outcomes and satisfaction
  • Organize and oversee training programs in collaboration with the training department
  • for new team members and continuing education for existing reps
  • Facilitate workshops, simulations, and certifications related to phaco product sales
  • Promote client-centered care and ensure excellent pre-sale and post-sale support
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards, including health and safety

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, recommending technological
  • advancements as appropriate.

 

Qualifications/ Training/Experience

Essential:

*       Bachelor’s degree; Science, business, or related fields

*       Ophthalmology or vision care experience

*       5+ years sales management experience

*       5+ years experience selling and managing capital equipment (phaco)

*       A valid U.S. driver’s license

*       The ability to travel related frequently throughout the US

Desirable:

*       Able to comprehend and interpret scientific/clinical data

*       Understanding of medical device regulations in relation to sales

*       Experience launching new products and managing product life cycles
