The Procurement Specialist will manage varied categories of spend on goods and services to support the organizational strategic objectives and to report into the Procurement Manager. The key activities are to achieve and exceed agreed procurement & organizational objectives.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Procurement manager on all sourcing and contracting activities and strategy execution. This will include some admin duties.
  • Participate in strategic and long-term forecast activity identifying and developing innovative sources and contracts.
  • Support the global Rayner group with procurement activities where required e.g., place POs etc.
  • Identify new suppliers as required and assist in timely and efficient onboarding of approved new vendors.
  • Report on category trend performance.
  • Support sales to develop financially sound bids and proposals.
  • Managing the vendor onboarding process and some of the vendor management requirements.
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with vendors, ensuring effective procurement and query resolution, timely 2-way communications, feedback on performance, highlighting risk/opportunity mitigation/creation – in line with company policies.
  • Work with the Legal team to co-ordinate and compile/manage a vendor management contract tracker.
  • Support strategic global projects with procurement skills as required.
  • Co-ordinate any invoice queries from Vendors with the finance team.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • 1-2 years procurement experience
  • Strong written and numeracy skills
  • Operational experience of Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Experience with negotiating contracts

 

Desirable

  • CIPS level 3 or above (MCIPS Status) or Equivalent
  • Multilingual
  • Knowledge of Medical/Pharmaceutical practices
