The purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of products on time and in full while maintaining inventory targets across all Rayner portfolios (Pharmaceuticals, IOLs, and Factored goods). You will be responsible to keep track of inventory, anticipating demand and suggest purchases to ensure supply continuity for raw materials and finished goods while liaising with Operations, Quality, Customer service, Regulatory, Sales teams, Finance, Suppliers, Logistics and third party wholesalers. You will have a chance to make a difference. By bringing your incredible skillset and talent, you will play an instrumental part in preparing Rayner’s Supply Chain for tomorrow.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Lead and motivate your team to deliver best-in-class supply chain experience
- Review planning horizon to ensure optimal product supply for Rayner portfolios
- Prepare and drive the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP)
- Identify, select, and negotiate agreements with third parties providing the following services: Raw materials (APIs, packaging), Analytical services, GMP storage, labelling, logistics, facilities
- Proactively identify future supply constraints and develop options to mitigate risk
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements and conduct regular business reviews with strategic supply partners
- Control purchases and deliver cost modelling
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate inventory control, assisting with investigations into stock discrepancies and maintain integrity of serialized and lot-controlled product data.
- Ensure that Healthcare providers’ consignments are verified at least twice annually. Recommend adjustments to customer inventory levels to optimize their performance and IOL usage. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support an efficient supply chain and demand process
- Actively manage together with other involved functions phase-in and phase-out of products or new product launches
- Successfully lead department projects and be an active participant in company wide projects that impact Supply Chain
- Provide management information to a number of forums and the senior leadership team

Qualifications/ Training/Experience
Essential
- Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or Science/Engineering related field
- Previous experience in sales and operations planning roles, integrated business planning process
- 10+ years of Biotech and/or Pharmaceutical supply chain experience
- 5+ years people management experience * Previous experience of global sourcing, contract manufacturing, GMP/GDP requirements, and related legal agreements in Pharmaceutical industry
- Successfully taken part in projects and initiatives working within both commercial and supply chain
- Exposure to continuous improvement projects and activities
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (pivot table, advanced formulas) and intermediate level of MS office Desirable * Knowledge of ERP system (SAP, Oracle)
- Understanding and experience of auditing
