This role will act as HR business partner to the VP International in the International region and be the key focal point in guiding and supporting the management teams, giving them the tools and knowledge to deliver high level generalist HR support within the business to their teams. You will also support all staff on HR processes and people management, including performance management, absence, policies and any issues and cases.

This role will also support the Global VP HR and be part of the global HR team with all strategic projects, change management required for successful implementations, including integration, and learning and engagement initiatives and centralized projects.

You will be required to think strategically but be able to act operationally and deliver a busy workload as the business is in growth mode.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs to support our international operations and ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior management and regional HR teams to define and implement HR initiatives that align with business strategies and objectives.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding, across multiple countries and regions.
  • Oversee all aspects of compensation and benefits, including salary benchmarking, incentive programs, and employee rewards and recognition.
  • Administer the payroll for the countries (India, Malaysia, Australia and China) via with our payroll partner Papaya Global.
  • Support recruitment in the region with contracts, offer letters and onboarding of new joiners.
  • Be the regional subject matter expert for the HR information system, PeopleXD and drive adoption in the region.
  • Work and collaborate with the wider global HR team to ensure alignment on global projects and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to line managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all international HR laws and regulations, including immigration, employment contracts, work permits, and visa requirements.
  • Manage HR reporting and analytics, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and ensure HR metrics are aligned with business objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement activities, and employee wellness programs.
  • Training of line managers and employees on HR processes and best practice such as performance management and recruitment.
  • Stay up to date with trends and developments in international HR practices, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and systems.
  • Ensure the region remains compliant from a HR perspective. 
  • Ability to work accurately, with pace and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Master's degree in HR, Business Administration
  • Experience in managing HR operations across multiple countries and regions.
  • At least 5-10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience in leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work with systems
  • Advanced ability in MS Office suite such as Excel, Word and Power point
  • Accuracy and confidentiality
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

Desirable:

  • Professional certification in Human Resources
  • Experience in managing multinational teams across countries
  • In-depth understanding of international labor laws, cultural differences, and global HR best practices.
