As Production Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end manufacturing and operational processes for two critical sites within This AG. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing based over at the Head Office in the UK. The Swiss site produces the Phaco machine, known as Sophi.
You will support and enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and team development at both sites, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
Support the Production and Manufacturing Leads across both sites, ensuring seamless manufacturing operations.
Implement strategies for process improvement and ongoing staff development to foster growth and efficiency in production.
Drive functional excellence, continuous improvement, and team development across both sites.
Empower and motivate teams to achieve high-quality results through accountability and proactive planning.
Clearly present complex issues and operational insights to diverse stakeholders.
Provide timely and accurate management reports to aid decision-making.
Manage production volumes, efficiencies, yields, and costs within budget and organizational goals.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet company objectives, responding proactively to business needs.
Maintain customer service standards by optimizing stock coverage to meet OTIF and BO targets.
Approach challenges from multiple perspectives to devise effective solutions.
Employ advanced problem-solving techniques, integrating key success factors into the business plan.
Lead project teams to deliver results on time, resolving issues effectively.
Champion lean principles across all production processes.
Integrate new systems and processes that support innovation in products, services, and workflows.
Ensure that production teams adhere to internal policies and industry standards, including cGMP.
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety standards, measured through metrics such as lost workdays and safety concerns.
Ensure all operations comply with applicable regulatory standards.
What Experience Do You Need
Degree or equivalent qualification.
Leadership or management training with experience in team development.
Experience in a regulated industry (GMP).
Demonstrated experience in change management.
Fluent in German & English.
Background in medical devices or pharmaceutical manufacturing is advantageous.
Familiarity with medical device regulations (ISO13485, FDA QSR 21, CFR 820, etc.) is preferred.
