The US Training Manager is responsible for developing comprehensive training programs tailored for the USA sales team. This includes designing and implementing roadmaps for onboarding, competency enhancement, and certification.

 

Within the Sales Excellence department, the US Training Manager will contribute to the development of Rayner's proprietary commercial model, known as the Rayner Way. The focus is on achieving the highest level of commercial excellence in both clinical and sales aspects across Rayner’s US commercial team.

 

Additionally, the manager will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Rayner online training program, Focal Point, by managing contributors and stakeholders. Continuous collaboration with US sales team leaders is essential to adapt training content to align with US strategies and industry trends. This role involves significant internal and external communication, requiring interaction with all departments at Rayner's head office in Worthing and other global offices.

KEY ACTIVITIES/

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identifying training needs tailored to US market strategy

  • Cooperation with Regional managers providing the resources they need.

  • Providing action plan and gap analysis based on sales results.

  • Cooperation with Regional Training Managers

  • Collaboration to plan, design, and deliver comprehensive training programs for the US Sales Teams, covering Rayner's entire product portfolio, including technical specifications, clinical evidence, competitor products, and market activities.

  • Ensuring employees comply with company and legal requirements related to field/OR presence Pharma, devices.

  • Compiling and implementing a package of product and non-product training  ( with the support of topic experts ) required for the US sales team in accordance with compliance including:

  • Compliance” (discounting/sampling/pricing etc)

  • Pharma & Med device regulations

  • Compiling scope of periodic certification of employees and implementation

  • Annual Training & Compliance sign off

  • Managing relationships with stakeholders

  • effective management of cross-departmental interactions

  • Strategic planning for US competencies approach

QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE

 

Essential:

  • Degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ Years’ experience with sales and product training in medical device or pharma
  • Knowledge of Ophthalmology therapy area
  • Experience in developing and delivering instructor-led training programs

  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Sales training experience / sales force optimisation
  • New product launch experience
  • Fluent English, both verbal & written is essential

Desirable:

  • IOL and Pharma market experience
  • Project management qualification or experience
